Here at Lowdham CofE Primary, we believe that the best way for anyone to continue to grow and to develop is for them to keep LEARNING.
The old maxim of: every day's a schoolday is a great one because if you have a day where you've learnt nothing new, then it's a wasted day.
We love to encourage our children to continue learning at home - whether it's playing a musical instrument, participating in sports clubs, reading, learning a language, studying nature on a family walk or using maths skills when cooking from scratch. (See the clubs we offer HERE.)
The children can share some of their achievements in our Friday certificate assembly or they can post pictures to their teacher or me via Class Dojo - nothing brings a smile to our faces more than children taking the learning out of the classroom and continuing at home - that's when we know that learning has stuck.
Why not engage in some fieldwork and develop your geography skills with Digimaps - this is a tool we have purchased which maps and charts your walks. Great to see landmarks, roads and paths and how the landscape has changed over time.
